Hi,
When listening to the Beastcast talk about American sports I started wondering why American sports don't have the concept of promotion and relegation. Meaning that the worst team in the highest division gets relegated to the second division and the best from second to the first and so on for all divisions. I googled it and fould this article. Another one was that it would be strange that a major city could be relegated and a small city could be promoted and that it would be strange for big teams to come to a small town to play. But that happens all the time in other countries. Take for example the team Åtvidaberg here in sweden that is a tiny city with 6800 inhabitants and they play in the highest division along with teams from the biggest cities like Stockholm.
