I won't claim to be an expert in business and finance but I reckon Liverpool will pay the 35 million pounds in installments say over 3-4 years. For example when an ordinary middle class man goes to buy a car he takes a loan from the bank and then pays it back in installments. Similarly I am sure judging by the recent debts Liverpool have had and considering they have also bought Suarez for a hug sum, they will most probably pay us small sums over a few years. This means that it's not like Ashley received a cash cheque for 35 million signed by Liverpool. Only the Man City owner can afford to write cheques and sign players. Perhaps Roman a few years back.
So all this means Ashley won't be able to give Pardew huge sums of cash to spend.
Of course fatty will use this as an excuse to give as little or nothing to Pardew to spend.

Probably for nothing or as part of player exchange for someone like Ben Arfa or Tiote, plus the remainder of the outstanding monies owed from the £35m.
Sound familiar........................Owen, Woodgate etc. etc. etc.
