The first thing for me to say is that I'm a big fan of Toon owner Mike Ashley - I think he's done a wonderful job of running the club, after the mess left by former chairman Freddie Shepherd.
But why is it that during the Mike Ashley era, we have always, year-in-year-out been knocked out of the FA Cup before January is out?
I am a great fan of Mike Ashley, but I want to go far in the FA Cup, even if we don't win it.
On a positive note, it looks as if we are taking the Europa League seriously, which I am delighted about - I hope we win it, or at least get to its semi-final.
But back to the FA Cup (and the Carling Cup for that matter) why are we always so rubbish in it???
