I thnk what got me about it all Magpie is the fact that the young woman was clearly uncomfortable and yet the two arrogant sods thought it hilarious. I cannot stand blokes like that

I've seen it happen at work too. It's sad. In the past I have ignored it when happening in front of me but then I started standing up against such blokes. Someone's gotta do it. Hard when the man is your immediate senior...

Shadow I agree with you. I initially thought the papers were making a big fuss over nothing but actually looking at those clips shows that they were quite clearly meant everything they said. It wasn't just harmless flirting. In any case they shouldn't even be flirting as that's their job. In any other job if that happened to a woman she could sue the men for sexual harassment. Glad these clips came out and exposed Gray and Keys. I actually liked Andy Gray as a commentator but now I've lost all respect for him. Here, here! Well rid!

Hard when the man is your immediate senior... I know. Theres a certain type of bloke that thinks hes gods gift and some of the blokes who hold a somewhat senior position get a bit above themselves I think.Ive had good and bad male managers-you get the horrendous slimes that get their jollies imagining more junior staff fancy the pants off them and you get others who treat people as human beings. Trying to take on an immediate superior at work isnt funny-it takes a lot of guts and also there are risks

Good point CWL!!! I think some women in senior positions feel they have to "outman" the men, and are sometimes worse than men!!!! The whole thing is daft really, so long as you know your job and know what you are doing, then gender shouldn't be an issue!!!

I notice that Jeremy Clarkson has had his twopenniesworth too Like I said-nowt wrong with a bit banter if everyones joining in-but when some-one is made to feel uncomfortable then it becomes something very different. I agree with the comments about some female bosses by the way.Again Ive had both good and bad-unfortunately the bad ones have been dreadful.I dont know if they feel inadequate or what but they all had an extremely abrupt autocratic manner that made working for them an absolute nightmare. At least if you were female too

You see I like the views expressed here because they are balanced and not biased in any one favor. I've been having a discussion (turned debate, turned argument) with a female friend (who's quite the feminist) on sexism over the last few days and she will refuse to accept that women are sometimes equally bad sometimes. It's so frustrating talking to her (actually wonder why I bother?). Sometimes I think she's just winding me up
