Topic name gave me completely the wrong idea But the pics are cute. I used to see Seagulls all the time when I lived in Brighton last year. The things made a lot of noise and on the odd occasion caused havoc by tearing open the bin bags that were kept outside but they were lovely and beautiful birds

Yes guys, I can imagine what you thought Seagulls do make a lot of mess, they rip into bin bags and delve into litter bins and hoy the stuff all over the place!!!!! There is a street in Monkseaton, I think it is, that when they have chicks, the people are afraid to go out the house, as they get dive bombed. I know they used to be a problem in South Shields town centre as well. But "mine" are well behaved - and well fed!! But I have seen them dive bomb my cat Munchkins Poor Munch didn't know what was happening!!!!

I don't like Canada Geese, they are s*it machines. Some time ago I was walking past one on the side of a lake when it bit me on the backside. How fortunate I wasn't walking in the other direction, I could have bit me in my gentleman's vegetables.

;D Aye, they sometimes use Geese as "watchdogs". Apparently they make a good "alarm" system!!!

I took a trip with a friend to the Farne Islands a few years back.We landed on Inner Farne and the Terns were bloody lethal in defence of their nests.I wasnt inspired by the sight of the visitors before us rejoining the boat-one woman with a bleeding head wound after one of the blighters pecked her. Altho seeing all the different seabirds was fantastic most of the trip was spent ducking when you saw the dreaded shadow-no not me lol-of a tern on the ground in front of you meaning one was closing in fast. The Arctic Terns were by far the worst-nothing seemed to scare 'em off
