This weekend The Toon head off doon Sooth 'London Town' to take on Andre Villas-Boas Spurs at White Hart Lane in a Remembrance Sunday high noon showdown.
The game has a number of discussion points worth raising...
Which Newcastle team will turn up being one of them, the Chelski version or the Mackem eleven?
Do you expect to see many goals in this game or will the ultra cautious APee attempt to park the bus?
Then again Spurs are not exactly prolific in front of goal nor fussy when it comes to shutting teams out if required as their attacking stats and defensive record shows this season. That said White Hart Lane has not exactly been a happy away day trip for The Toon Army over the years, perhaps as with the stunning 1 - 4 in 2007/08 this is the visit to change that around. Either way The Mags will have to work hard to earn anything in the way of points.
So will HBA come in alongside Remy, how about Anita in for Tiote and Colo returning to the back four or will it be the same side that started against Chelski at SJP?
What would your team be?
Who do you see as the danger men for Spurs? Roberto Soldado is top scorer in the PL with 4 while Gylfi Sigurdsson is only one behind him on 3. Perhaps it's Townsend or Paulinho or even defender Jan Vertonghen that you consider a major threat. Will Hugo Lloris retake his place between the sticks following the dramatic collision and controversial follow up to the incident at Everton last weekend?
I reckon AVB will have his side geared up not to lose and probably content to win one nil, whereas APee will probably settle for a nil all or to nick it one nil. All I want is to see Newcastle go for it and give Spurs a game. Let's hope it's one to remember for the right reasons rather than a damp squib after November the 5th.
Lights Oot!
