This weekend the visitors to SJP are Fulham and it's a fixture with plenty of talking points. From the away sides perspective what sort of contribution will old boy Scotty Parker make to Jols side after his transfer from Spurs? Speaking of transfers will Darren Bent come and show the Toon Army just what they missed out on? Meantime Alpha Papa has plenty to think about regarding his 'Judgement Day' side. Will want away Cabaye play? In fact it's worthwhile asking would you play him tomorrow given everything that has gone on this past two weeks? How much game time will Remy get tomorrow? Will Sameobi get the nod over Marveaux? Cisse and Stroller up front or some other combination, what do you think? One thing for sure there's plenty resting on this result ahead of transfer 'Deadline Day' on Monday! Lights Oot!

Here are a few more things to consider thanks to those nice people from Opta... Newcastle have had only one shot on target so far this season; fewer than any other Barclays Premier League side. Fulham have won two successive away games in the Barclays Premier League - they haven't won three in a row since May 2008. Newcastle United have failed to score in three successive Premier League games - they haven't failed to score in four in a row since January 2008. The home side have won each of the last five Premier League meetings between Newcastle and Fulham. Fulham have won 11 of their 22 Premier League meetings with Newcastle. Only against Bolton Wanderers (12 of 22) have they won more often in the competition. Since the start of 2012, Newcastle have lost just two of their eight Premier League home games against sides from London (W5 D1). Hatem Ben Arfa has scored in both of his two Premier League appearances against Fulham. The Whites are one of two teams (along with Bolton) that Ben Arfa has netted more than once against in the competition. Darren Bent is now one of eight players to have scored for six different clubs in the Premier League. Lights Oot!

If last week was a bore draw then this game in my opinion barring a wonder strike from Hatem Bomb wasn't much better. The first eighty minutes a test of any Toon fans patience. The Mags forwards having practically no service until that final ten minutes, then when it finally did arrive couldn't convert some golden opportunities to improve our goal difference. Mind you watching Berbatov turn lazy play into an art form meant it wasn't only home fans put through the mill. Anyone traveling from Doon Sooth to watch the Cottagers turn in that kind of display must have wondered why they bothered. That said the goal was worthy of winning any game and a massive get out of jail card for Alpha Papa. From the way Hatem took it I got the impression it was almost like 'F**k it' if no one else is going to do something then I'll do it myself, bang, one nil, game over! Interesting listening to Alpha Papa's post match comments as well, particularly about Cabaye. Touch of The Clash in there, will he stay or will he go now? Stating all of his players are vulnerable up to the 11pm deadline Monday evening probably summing up his feelings exactly and a huge clue if one was needed about who really controls things, and no it's not Joe Feckinere. Anyway four points on the board and sitting in mid table with an opportunity to regroup during the break for Internationals. Whether anyone new arrives or someone departs is a whole different story. Lights Oot!
