When it comes to in-contract players being sold against their will, when was the last time it happened at Newcastle?
I know Given and Milner handed in transfer requests, but I'm not sure what happened with Geremi.
I know that strictly speaking you can't sell a player against his will, but pressure can be put on them.
But there is no question that Milner and Given definitely were determined to leave.
So please, when was the last time an in-contract player was pressurised to leave the club and go to another. Was it Andy Cole?
