1 - 2 HT
Not much going on really worth talking about. QPR are terrible and we are only slightly better.
Hope Pardew isnät going to sit back, take out Ben Arfa and Gouffran and keep Jonás in the second.

Start of the second half. Mr. Unibrow has been substituted in QPR, doing his best to make himself unpopular amongst his own fans before that.

FT - 1 - 2 win for us!
A match that won't go to the history books. Dramatic win none the less.

Despite the early efforts of Lee Probert to bollox things up with a first half penalty that never was and send The Toon down, things eventually turned out okay. Mainly due to a second penalty award, this time to the away side, following defender Jose Bosingwa's first moment of madness when he fancied Hatem Ben Arfa's shirt some 70 minutes or more before the final whistle was blown. The spot kick duly dispatched by the Frenchman much to my relief. Then on 35 minutes another major clanger from Bonsingwa as his back pass from an equally poor goal kick causing chaos as Jonas chased what may have been considered a lost cause. The ball eventually going to Gouffran who slotted home from distance into an empty net. The half ending 2 - 1 and all things considered probably a fair reflection of how the game had gone. The second half didn't improve things much and from a Toon perspective the sending off of Elliot following a second yellow could have been a whole lot worse, although it has to be said one of his cards was dubious to say the least. Not that his replacement Steve Harper had much to do and can feel well pleased he played a part in keeping The Toon in The Premier League for another season, before his imminent departure come the summer. That said it was only a goal line clearance from Derry which prevented The Mags from increasing their lead and making the margin of victory a lot more comfortable than it was. So with safety assured it's now back to St James Park next weekend for the final send off against Arsene Whingers Gooners along with the departing Stevie Harper and for once the result doesn't matter one jot! Only time will tell whether The Dog gets as much hammer as it did this afternoon..... Lights Oot!
