This Sunday coming presents probably the most important away league fixture since Aston Villa in the 2008/9 season and we all know what happened that day! It goes as read getting something from Appy Arry and his bunch of already relegated overpaid mercenaries is an absolute must. Mind you it could be that many of them will not play for one reason or another. So it's unclear just what team Arry will select and ultimately whether The Toon get something or not remains to be seen. Unless of course it's already a done deal and Arry has found a brown paper envelope in a Sports Direct bag somewhere around Shepherds Bush. Regardless forget about Redknapp or APee here's your chance to pick the side.... just who do you think should play to preserve the Clubs Premier League status? Does Simpson keep his place in the back four or do you bring back Debuchy? Do you keep Mbiwa at left back or play Perch? How about Jonas is now the time to finally drop him? What formation do they play 4 2 3 1 or 4 2 4 or 4 3 3? Regarding tactics do you go all out for the win and risk them scoring or park the bus and play for a nil all draw? To top it all off is having Lee Probert referee for Sunday the kiss of death to our chances of getting a win or am I just being extremely negative? I'll save any thoughts I have until I see what the response is like to this thread....One thing for sure it will be more than Pardew's fault should The Toon lose! Also what do you make of the Clear the Air talks expected between our most benevolent owner and his employee at season end? I'm all for it personally as something needs clearing as the air has been blue around me at SJP for months! There's also the small (sic) matter of the Secret Smiter that could do with an airing as well...no harm in sorting that out while they are discussing all things NUFC related! Lights Oot!

Here's what old Scr*tum Heed had to say about Sundays match:
"I want players who want to be here, work hard and train hard - the others, just don't bother. In terms of discipline, it has got to change. Some of them think they can do what they want when they want. It's been difficult because we have had to use them, but now is the time when we have had to make the changes.
"You have to get a good squad of players and need strong characters as much as ability. There are some good characters here and they are not all dysfunctional. There are some good lads here too, but you do need more. It's a different game, different people and different characters, but it is still football. I love football.''
QPR welcome Newcastle to Loftus Road on Sunday with Alan Pardew's side desperate for the three points to ease their own relegation worries.
And Redknapp admits it is a challenge to fire his players up for the remaning games of the season with their fate having already been sealed.
"When you have nothing to play for but pride it is difficult. I'm looking forward to try and build a team for next season,'' he said. "We don't want to be rolling over for anyone. We will give it our best shot and try to win the game."

Debuchy back at RB, Mbiwa at LB. Jonas too much of a liability for me, get rid in summer if we can (Captain Collo will be going too so nae body te speakada lingo ) Tiote has also been more of a liability than a midfield general this season.....has he been "working his ticket" of late...... Need to go for the jugular and get our goal difference sorted oot, so 4-3-3 for me. Cisse, Gouffran & possibly Sissoko banging 'em in Damn!! Just read on NUFC.com that Shola's out and so is Sissoko ( fer rest of season) so will have to change my formation to 4-4-2......bugger!!!

Attack attack attack - Cisse, Gouffran, Barfa and marveaux if he is fit. Leave Gutihapless on the bus. Get Saylor to play football and not play act. Colo hopefully to show Remi that he made the wrong decision.
Howay The Lads!!!!!

It's the only way Fairsy Win and win well (for the goal difference if nothing else) that's what the lads simply have to do!!!! Marvellous back in training but may not be fit enough for tomorra ( same with Santon ) Win @ QPR Broon and parking the bus against the Gooners should be all we need to do to ensure Premiership football next season Howay The Lads........Come Ooonnn!!!

This was the starting eleven put out against The Hammers... Elliot Simpson, S.Taylor, Coloccini, Yanga-Mbiwa Cabaye, Tiote, Gutierrez Ben Arfa, Gouffran, Cisse As everyone now knows the result was a 0 - 0 draw. Defensively I would probably keep Simpson in the side but accept it restricts attacking down the right in a big way and lends itself to parking the bus. The bolder move would be bringing back Debuchy and simply go for it. Regardless of whether you like Jonas or not, with Sissoko out and doubts about Marveaux it doesn't leave much in the way of options if you take him out of this side. Regarding his replacement Anita or possibly Gosling being about the best of the bunch from an attacking perspective. Of course you could play Perch in midfield alongside Tiote and push Cabaye further forward. My problem with that is it hasn't worked at any other point during the season so I don't see it happening now when we most need it too! It also smacks again of the now infamous parking of the bus. Trouble with that being will it be parked at Loftus Road or somewhere else in London? As fortune favours the brave I would drop Gouffran into midfield and play Campbell in the hole behind Cisse. Given that we need to win and may as well go for it I would play with this as a starting eleven... Elliot Debuchy, Saylor, Colo, Mbiwa Hatem Ben Arfa, Cabaye, Tiote, Campbell, Gouffran Cisse On paper it's set up as a 4 5 1, however I reckon it's flexible enough to go 4 4 2 or 4 3 3 when necessary or opportunity arises. You will be able to knock me over with a feather should that side run out this afternoon at 3pm... Lights Oot!

I would like to see Anita get another run oot but I have been impressed with the little I have seen of young Campbell so agree that the formation could be changed to suit

Don't forget that we have Ferguson available again. Would be a better attacking option than Jonás.
