Another busy Saturday line up of football for me again tomorrow starting with two games for the kids then Toon v Spuds.
Following on from the victories against Villa and Chelski the French Brigade head for White Hart Lane to face AVB and the threat from Garreth Bale. Our last visit was also televised (I was away and didn't witness it first hand) and ended in a disastrous five nil thumping. Would be nice to deal out another spot of revenge as I believe it is the biggest margin of defeat under APee.
The Toon also appear to have everyone back safely from midweek International duty as well as Mr T from the African Cup of Nations.
Team selection could be interesting to say the least.
On that front AVB and Tottingham probably have more concerns than The Mags. Defoe is definitely out with Kaboul, Sandro and Huddlestone all doubtful. However Adebayor is back from African Cup of Nations duty with Togo and he's expected to play. Whether it's from the start or off the bench time will tell. It has also been reported AVB may well play Bale and Dempsey up front, but once again we shall have to wait and see.
I would be well satisfied for The Toon to start with this line up...
Krul
Debuchy, Saylor, Colo, Santon
Tiote, Cabaye, Sissoko
Gouffran, Cisse , Jonas
Bench: Elliot, Anita, Yanga-Mbiwa, Perch, Marveaux, Obertan and Stroller.
Spurs don't score many first half goals and I reckon if we can keep Bale quiet and take it to 0 - 0 or go in 1 nil up at half-time Les Lads will get something from this fixture.
What do you think?
