I feel some familiar trials and tribulations coming.........just wanted to resurrect this first.....no excuses.
We are the Geordies.
We aren't in this for the glory, the fashion, because some London based rag says we should be! We are here, we will always be here, because this is where we come from, this is our home town, this is where we belong, this is who we are, this is what makes and defines us, this is our identity, we are the Geordies.
No matter who is in charge, who ‘owns’ our team, who runs ‘our’ club, who manages ‘our’ team or who is privileged to wear our famous colours - we remain steadfast and true - we are the Geordies.

Great post C Man.......another for the archive from the heart of your bottom.... Always liked this one... “What is a club in any case? Not the buildings or the directors or the people who are paid to represent it. It’s not the television contracts, get-out clauses, marketing departments or executive boxes. It’s the noise, the passion, the feeling of belonging, the pride in your city. It’s a small boy clambering up stadium steps for the very first time, gripping his father’s hand, gawping at that hallowed stretch of turf beneath him and, without being able to do a thing about it, falling in love.” Sir Bobby Robson Says it all.....
