Has reality dawned on Pardew?

The very fact that Alan Pardew has come public with his views on what he thinks Ashley needs to do in this transfer window must mean he feels as if his job is on the line.

Everybody and his dog knows that the team needs strenghtening but up till now all that side of things has been kept within.

But now suddenly AP goes public seemingly trying to get the extra funds neccesary to get who he wants? Is he mad? Has he lost the plot?

He will most certainly get the backing of the fans but I cannot see Ashley liking his coach running to the newspapers with this story?

I hope Ashley gives him what he needs if he does I will be very suprised.

Everybody knows what happened to our last manager the minute he allegedly demanded more funds. If your opening sentence is correct Capt. M. this can only mean that his job is "on the line" no matter what he does. Who'd be a manager?

Considering increases in potential income from TV commencing next season it could well be that MA sees the light and invests in players rather than a relegation parachute. We can always hope!
