Just reading reports of AP talking about us needing a stronger squad in Jan, which is true but probably not what his bosses want to hear. Don't bite the hand that feeds AP. Be careful.

This thread has had over twenty views yet only up to now one reply. Umm! is it a case of swimming on by or apathy? As APee clearly splits the fan base I surmise some would argue he is simply doing his job despite the possible consequences. While the rest hope he does upset his employer sufficiently to be sacked. Either way I guess the pessimists will be satisfied... WL  |

Ok ill add my six penerth for what its worth. Pardew is a perhaps more of a Coach not a Manager because he has little or no say on player purchases or sales. He is a convienience vehicle for Ashley put in place when Hughton was sacked.for allowing players to hold team meetings something that Ashley disliked intensely. I think recent events where the team has shown poor form has brought all the criticism and pressure onto Pardews shoulders. He has obviously read some of the comments and reacted by trying to throw some transfer hints Ashleys way.  ATB |

You might be right about being a better coach than manager. He got that award last year on the players backs but he did inspire them to give their all. The run of matches last spring was amazing. And then we saw him get the tactics wrong a couple of times i,e second half of Fulham away last year. Unfortunity he is the mouthpiece for the Club cause I don't hear nothing from Dracula or FCB. Cashley watches the matches, he did not just fall off the turnip truck and he knows we need a bigger squad so this farce of Pardew hintin to FCB we might need more players is the stuff laid down on fields to make the crop grow.
