Red Scousers v The Toon

Today has The Toon heading off to miseryside to take on The Red Scousers at Anfield.

NUFC's record across there is diabolical with one win, two draws and 15 losses in the last eighteen played. Liverpool who are in no great form this season must be rubbing their hands at the prospect of a visit from The Toon. That said now would be the perfect opportunity to break that run of results.

According to various reports this morning Demba Ba has a 75% chance of playing or 50 - 50 depending on what you read in the media.

Not sure APee will have him on from the start, however if he is fit to play I expect him to come off the bench at some point in the afternoon's affair. It will be interesting to see if our manager goes with one up front (Cisse or Shola) and five in midfield.

Also doing the rounds are changes in defence with Saylor coming in for Williamson and Anita taking up the right back role from Simpson. I'm okay with Saylor returning, but feel Danny (unless he is injured) has done nothing wrong so should retain his place in the starting line up.

Something like this should be sufficient to get us a result in my opinion....

APee has accepted the red card for Colo, however was it really an offence worthy of a sending off?

Had our skipper completely wiped out Suarez then perhaps I could understand the colour of the card. However as it was he didn't connect so was it a case of mistaken viewpoint from the officials or intent? If it was about intent then Colo should be shot at dawn as he missed his target by a country mile and as a professional should hold his head in shame.

Either way it again, as with the Tiote red from the Mackems game, leaves The Toon worse off with one of our better players sidelined for three games just when we don't need it.

Any one else got a view?

Did not appear as rash as Tiote's however I had Niall Quinn describing the replay FFS. Colo being oot fer Big Sam and his game plan does not bode well fer the Toon. Think FCB gives a toss about everyones b*tchin about a thin squad now?
