Ye gods Fairsy, looks like I’m being dragged into this ugly affair and like you wish to remain Switzerland. What can I do? I have much admiration for the drinker of fermented cider but even more for my best mate and training partner. I do indeed posses a Blue Star Pin, given to me just prior to entering St James Park on that fateful day in May. It means so much to me that I have removed all the medical pins of accomplishment I’ve acquired over the years from my lab coat and replaced them with the solitary Blue star Pin. That pin has a very special significance to me, reminds me of walking up to the grounds that day with Capt. Marvel at my side and melting into the Black’n White army. It reminds me of Churchill trying to nick a pie off the young lad seated before him and you Fairsy hurling obscenities at the Citeh players on the pitch. It also brings back the guy singing Blaydon Races prior to the match. These are special memories most Americans will never experience and I am but the lucky one! Fairsy, were you and I present during this trade agreement made over drink, perhaps the cup final training session? If so I must claim ignorance to the agreement in question especially if I was under the influence of the “lunatics’ broth”! Frequently after consuming large quantities of the dog I tend to suffer from lack of recall. You see my dilemma, should I offer my pin to Canny in order to quill this smiting and name calling or should I keep it and watch Canny wonder off for more consultations with Jack? Fairsy, you are much older and wiser than I, what am I to do?

Broon you will have to forgive me for dragging you into this sordid tale however I believed clarity was required so in the heat of the moment revealed your ownership of the fabled Blue Star Pin. Far be it from me to spoil the lasting friendship between you and the ex Easington CIU member... Treat my earlier post as nothing more than collateral damage or a spot of friendly fire, so just duck and cover when you next meet....or as a last resort ask to borrow Polly's tin hat. Regardless of whether said Institute member cries in his beer or bleats on throughout the night at Waldo's, I beg you on no account part with that pin. If your powers of recall are open to doubt after consuming a quantity of The Dog then now you perhaps understand why I also question those of your training partner. There's so much more he is not saying, that's why I'm challenging his view of events. Obviously you may want to first read the response of our fellow Mag, the Norse head hunter in chief, before making your mind up and I accept that is only right. However the battle continues... CWL

I have some troubling news forum faithful. Yesterday I called Canny after the Mackem match as I always talk to him after every match we don’t watch together. He went to a boozer in Atlanta to watch the match with his son. Right off I could tell he’d been training pretty hard. Was not pleased with the result and was repeating stuff as a result of his overindulgence with Jack. After b*tching about the match results he gets on about this Blue Star business again and how CWL has let him down. He even whines his other best friend Fairsy won’t come to his defense in this sordid tale. He claims Fairsy is witnessed to all this. He goes on and on about this special service he performed for an FBI gal, (won’t even tell me what that was) apparently it’s one of the highlights of his life and had extraordinary meaning blah, blah, blah and he’ll never get another one like it and now it is in the possession of CWL. Like a kid that’s lost his favorite marble, really. So I say, “listen if it means that much to ya take mine”. Wrong thing to say……..he goes off, “you ain’t a Geordie, when we say something we mean it or that’s it! I don’t want yer bloody pin. I want was agreed to by a guy I used to admire”. So I try and change the subject and ask him about the boozer they went to, were there any ex pat’s there, Geordies or Mackems and he goes off again. “Oh, you gonna tell me about my drinking too”? “Listen mate, I’m a Geordie, we drink get over yerself”. Then he says, “I’m done posting, maybe I’ll go off to a monastery and dry out, would that satisfy you”? Then he hung up. Not too worried about our relationship cause I think I caught him at a bad time and wee bit under the influence. But it’s quite obvious this pin business quite weighs heavily on his mind.

Now I will openly admit I had a bit to drink that day, however I'm now beginning to think Canny must have been on a different level altogether.... I certainly don't have his beloved FBI pin (compared to the fabled Blue Star pin they are as common as Hens Teeth while the other is like a search for Rocking Horse poo!) for services rendered to a female agent (although as it involves the FBI I have my suspicions all may not be as suggested by Canny) in my possession. Has he actually given it to someone else while under the influence (Could have been worse I guess as possibly under Jack...) and I'm the innocent party of his misplaced grief over such an error. More evidence if it was required about the suspect nature of his powers to recall just what was agreed. CWL

When you talk about me being on a different level...you must mean integrity level........ Do not decry the value of said pin....I was told by the donor that it was a special FBI 9/11 pin commemorating the FBI's counter terrorism commitment to pursue and obliterate Bin Laden. This was explained to you at the time, also that it held value to her and that I thought that you would appreciate it being in your line of work. To now state I did not give it to you is downright ridiculous. This is it man....no drink involved in this one....take the pin, your forum , your supercilious attitude and our friendship, and stick it where the monkey puts its nuts.

Is that more fish bait I smell... Regardless, too right I'm going to continue with my attitude as I know I'm right while you are so so wrong about much of that day and what was agreed. As for being on a different level, well integrity wasn't on the list, more a case of having wandered on to a different floor in the pub or is that something else your memory is hazy about! That said I am big enough to admit in the heat of the moment I did in my last post both devalue the FBI pin and what it represents which was a major error in judgement. However I'm still sticking to my guns over this whole affair particularly the false idea you are now promulgating that I already have your pin in my hands. That is a complete and utter lie... While I'm on may as well get a few other things off my chest... Friendship.....umm! Not sure I would call it that....more a passing acquaintance linked to The Toon. Did you a couple of good turns regarding tickets simply because I could and that is about it.... The Forum is not mine I just happen to enjoy being here, although the novelty is wearing off regarding the NUFC section. No need to guess why? Coming back on topic are you now threatening to do a Magpie and run when the going gets tough? Thought you had more backbone than that.... Of course if you are ever back in The Toon on a match day you know where I'll be and we can sort it out once and for all. If Fairsy is about I'm sure he will hold your coat. Got no love of monkeys, however Atlanta you sure are going nuts over our agreement yet appear to be in denial over much of it and avoid like the plague revealing the full details. For that reason alone I will recap...... Yes we agreed an exchange.... The exchange would only take place once I had sourced you a Blue Star.... As it happens I'm close to succeeding (a story in itself), not that I think for one moment you will believe me due to this slander campaign. Until then you would keep your beloved FBI pin because of it's sentimental value..... After all I also believe in the word of a Geordie, although in this case obviously a one with a s**t memory. There's also one other thing which we agreed, but has never been mentioned once throughout this thread.... It remains the one crucial flaw in your entire argument. So over to you Mr Integrity if you can actually remember what it is... CWL

I would like to think this post makes people understand what they have done to the forum through their actions and perhaps come to their senses or is it too late?ATB

CWL Notwithstanding the above blurb, this is my last posting on this matter......I have nothing more to say than already said.....I feel it is affecting other posters and prospective posters and giving a jaundiced picture of what this forum is all about. I will PM CWL , and take this matter wherever it goes........ I apologize profusely for any discomfort or annoyance I have caused to any fellow posters , and hope to move on with my postings and comments on all things NUFC..............This I cannot do without, as it keeps my blood flowing and in touch with my childhood passion of football. It is extremely hard to do this from over here, and this forum is and has been my sanity saviour more than once. I also publicly apologize to CWL, not for my sentiments, but for my delivery. I show juvenile tendencies while at retirement age. It would be my wish to remove this thread, but I leave that to the powers that be. Thanks.

Canny if there's anyone that needs to be offering up an apolgy then I guess it should be me as I started this thread in the first place... I may not have juvenile tendencies, however once I get something like this in my head I'm like a dog with a raggy bone......I just will not let go no matter what! One of my character traits that is not always put to good use I may add. Anyway for the benefit of your good self and anyone else that may be interested I have some news..... I have decided to adopt the new name of White Lightning.... Also after searching across the nation and calling in many favours from fellow football supporters following many Clubs I now have in my possession a Blue Star Pin. Given the grief or pain I may have caused you in this thread I believe it is only fair that this is now my personal gift to you to cement a fragmented relationship. I require no exchange for the FBI pin and it is yours to retain as it holds too much value and meaning for me to accept it under these circumstances. Now all I need is your home address which you agreed to send me in a PM or email five months ago...... WL

She says it brightens up her day......I would crawl on broken glass for that woman.....consider yourself honoured. Thanks again. Fair play and not guilty on that one.

If so - learn from it Its way too late for that, Magpie will not be coming back there again he should not have been forced out to begin with. Now Polly has gone because he believes Magpie was short changed. The whole sorry episode is not a good advert for this forum it needs more posters not fewer!

He wasn't forced to go anywhere Capt. He chose to go. He also chose to behave as a rude Wum but couldn't cope with being wound up himself. No apologies coming from this quarter. Sorry to see Polly leave though. I honestly hope he reconsiders. PS - Pleased with 3 points today After all that's why we're here
