I saw Garfield2 at the Metrocentre with the kids a few years back. The place was horrendous-no space and I couldnt get comfortable. As kids our mam used to take us to the cinemas regularly-and they seemed so much more luxurious and comfortable than now.I seem to remember one of 'em-think it was Odeon1-even had double seats at the back

Aye, my mam used to take me and my cousin every Sat night, grew up with all the old stars I've never been to one of these multiplex thigios, but I don't think I'd like them!! I much prefer the "old style" cinemas.

I agree Chris! Remakes are very rarely as good as the original. I think the worst I've seen is The Wickerman, it was shocking, as the original is class! Another I didn't like was the Italian Job!! I see a remake of True Grit is out now. This still cracks me up www.youtube.com/watch?v=8g_GeQR8fJo

Agree also. I much prefer the original of Cape Fear-Robert Mitchum was a far more chiling villain than Robert DeNiro, whom I found completely over the top I dont like these remakes and I cant see the point. As for that American remake of "Get Carter"-less said about that the better

It's the same with sequels. Very seldom are follow up films as good as the original. For me an exception was the The Godfather Trilogy. Oh. BTW Chris . Brighton Rock. Great film. Another one in same category. The Thirty Nine Steps.

Agree Fairs, the Godfather Trilogy is excellent The other sequals that are good are the Harry Potter ones, but on the whole I agree, they are never as good as the originals. Although I must say I like the Die Hard films
