According to the Ronnie Gill the following is a list of places The Toon could be visiting next season. Any views on where you fancy going for a Euro Meet?
Here is a rundown of the 19 teams who will enter the competition in the play-off round alongside United:
Belgium – Lokeren
Lokeren earned their place in next season’s Europa League by winning the Belgium Cup – the first time the club has done so in their history.
Denmark – FC Midtjyllan
FC Midtjylland secured their passage to the Europa League play-off round by finishing third in the Danish Superliga.
France – Bordeaux
Bordeaux secured their Europa League play-off round place by finishing fifth in the French Ligue 1.
Germany – Stuttgart
Stuttgart ended their 2011/12 Bundesliga campaign in sixth spot, ensuring they enter the Europa League in the play-off round.
Greece – AEK Athens
AEK Athens secured Europa League football in 2012/13 after they finished fifth in the Greek Super League.
Israel – Hapoel Tel Aviv
Hapoel Tel Aviv only finished second in their domestic league, but earned Europa League football by winning the State Cup (for the third successive year).
Italy – Lazio
Lazio finished fourth in the Italian Serie A and therefore join the Europa League at the play-off round.
Holland - PSV Eindhoven
PSV Eindhoven finished the 2011/12 Eredivisie in third place, but gain access to the Europa League play-off round by winning the KNVB Cup.
Holland – AZ Alkmaar
AZ Alkmaar qualify for the Europa League play-off round by finishing fourth in the Dutch Eredivisie.
Portugal – Sporting
Sporting secured their Europa League play-off round qualification by finishing fourth in the Portuguese Primeira Liga.
Romania – Dinamo Bucharest
Despite finishing fifth in the Liga I, Dinamo Bucharest won the Romanian Cup and therefore secured Europa League play-off round football.
Russia – CSKA Moscow
Russian side CSKA Moscow finished third in the Russian Premier League and qualified for the Europa League play-off round.
Scotland – Heart of Midlothian
Hearts were the 2011/12 Scottish Cup winners which gained them access to the Europa League play-off round.
Switzerland – Luzern
Luzern qualified for the Europa League play-off round by finishing second in the Swiss Super League.
Turkey – Trabzonspor
Trabzonspor secured their Europa League play-off round place by finishing third in the Turkish Super Lig.
Ukraine – Metalist Kharkov
By finishing third in the Ukrainian Premier League, Metalist Kharkov qualified for the Europa League play-off round.
Ukraine – Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk
Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk finished fourth in the Ukrainian Premier League and therefore secured their Europa League play-off round place.
Spain – Levante
Levante finished sixth in the Spanish La Liga, but because Barcelona beat Athletic Bilbao in the Copa Del Ray final it pushed them in to the Europa League play-off round.
Other than the above we could also face a trip to one of the following...
ALL teams below enter the Europa League at the first qualification round stage, and must win three games to reach the play-off stage at which Newcastle enter the competition.
