Perchnio is also up for an end of season BAFTA in the "Best At Simulating Facial Injury" category or more commonly known up here as 'fallen ower'! Some stiff competition is expected for that award from former Mag ASBO.........after his outstanding display in the opener against The Gooners. CWL

Happy April Fool's day Polly ;D Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish is confident the Reds can avoid relegation this season despite a third straight Premier League loss. Following defeats against fellow strugglers Wigan and QPR, Dalglish's Liverpool put up a battling display at Champions League hopefuls Newcastle on Sunday, but fell to a sixth defeat in seven Premier League games to leave them anxiously looking over their shoulders. Despite this, the Anfield boss believes his big money signings have what it takes to cope with a fight for survival. "Andy Carroll [at Newcastle], Charlie Adam [at Blackpool] and Stewart Downing [at Middlesbrough] all have experience of fighting a relegation battle," said Dalglish. "They've all been relegated in recent seasons." The canny Scot also feels the Reds have been unfortunate this season. "We've been a wee bit unlucky with other teams scoring more goals than wereselves and getting more points," claimed Dalglish. "But we can't feel sorry for wereselves, in any way, shape or form, because we've got a massive game coming up against Aston Villa and we've got to get back to our drawing ways at Anfield. It's a real two-pointer." Dalglish faces a selection dilemma for the Villa match, with goalkeeper Pepe Reina unavailable after 183 consecutive appearances, following his dismissal at St James' Park. "We signed the lad Doni as cover for this reason," said Dalglish, "but we've also got the only 'keeper not to have conceded a goal in the Premier League this season, so I'm going to start Jose Enrique." DISCLAIMER: This story has less credibility than an Andy Carroll penalty appeal
