Do they have a "Rosetta Stone" fer how to speak Geordie? I got Goldmem, er Cannyman to help me with the lingo but after 7 or 8 pints when I ask'm something he just smiles and grins........no answer. I believe I read an article that said the team had Africa Day at the training ground and I assumed all the players had goat that day. Could be wrong. Is the Eshington Curse anything like the Irish Curse?  |

If ye like, I can pass it to CWL at next weeks Stoke match so he can give it to ya when ye come over for the Citeh game wi' Canny?! Can't say it'll turn ye into a native overnight, but it will give ye a chuckle or two while you're visiting Geordieland.............   |

Broon I gave up trying to keep order on here a long time ago..........hence the negative Karma.  The only saving grace being it has managed somehow not to decend into the utter chaos which prevailed on the old Chronic forum. Canny Goat obviously mellowing with age and unable to get away with his multi id's on here as we would spot them a mile off! Mind you he must have made an impression (decided not to use the word small.....oops! in case it offends) on the DC Mags as they are avoiding this place like the plague.  CWL  |
