I am watching the Margaret Thatcher film as I type. The reason being that Iwould like to find something human and good in there. I am trying to watch it in an unbiased manner, because I don't believe that anyone can be all bad. As evil, narrow minded and selfish as anyone appears, I always think that there has to be some human kindness in everyone. I will suspend my judgment until the end of the film.

After watching the film, I conclude that if the film is factual, then she was as uncaring and as inhuman as I always thought she was. The best bit (or worst bit) is a scene where she is being advised that the Belgrano is moving away and is no longer a threat. She disregards all the advice, leans forward, hands on table and simply says "Sink it!" Very difficult to find any sympathy for her in later years when she became confused, when you remind yourself that she never had any sympathy for other people, and how her policies and decisons would impact on people's lives.

Yes, that terrible statement she made.... "There is no society" tells a tale in itself. Everyone out for himself and may the best man (strongest) win, created that Yuppie culture that maybe we are all paying for now. There may be some debate as to whether she ever said that or said it in some other context but to me it kind of sums up a lot of her "reign".

Not top of my list of must see films. The film companies must be running short of remakes and putting crappy film into 3D. What next? Maybe a film about tefal Tony (Blair). Could there be "George and Tony, and the case of the disappearing WOMDs" Now that one i'd love the watch.

i dont understand why people vote mainly Tory or Labour but gullible comes to mind, they never keep their promises but time and time again people believe them, were going to get tough on crime, were going to make this country great again, were going to get people into work etc etc, what a load of bullsheet, all ive seen so far is the opposite of what was promised, next election it will be Labour vs Tory again because people are so gullible or they are not prepared to take a chance on another party, so it will be the same old same old, remember the song Labour used when Blair got elected, things can only get better, well they did for him and other already rich people but nothing got better for the voters, same old same old, were all in it together.

People are confused about who to vote for because there are no alternatives, because the Tories and Labour have morphed into one, and there isnt much difference between them. There was a time when it was clear, the Tories were for the Rich, and the socialists were for the poor. You can find proper socialist alternatives but just like the Lib Dems, people are convinced that it would be a wasted vote, so they veer between the big 2 parties, which are just about the same. people should vote with thier gut feeling or with their heart.

"You don't understand why people vote Tory or Labour?" There a simple answer to that - Look what happened last time when people didn't! It dosen't matter what ever the party the politician they are affiliated to, they are all power hungry bast*rds. There's not a principle they will drop, a U-turn they'll make or a back they won't stab.
