Anyone posting should beware, what appears on the site may not be what you actually wrote.

Firstly I'll point out that you are innaccurate.

You are making a grand statement about one moderator not moderators.

I take it you are objecting to the fact that Roma responded to you on your own post rather than quoting you on a separate post.

Your words were not changed and remain there under your name-there is an addition-not an alteration-which we all know is Roma responding to you.

You know that too.

However-if you wish I will restore your post to how it was originally and remove Romas addition.

Most of us will have taken it how it was meant to be-you have chosen to make it a major issue.

Let me know what action you would like me to take.

A post of mine was altered by Roma. Ask her, also Annie knows. It aint right that this should happen.

OK, I have views not every one agrees with. And yes I wind people up at times. But altering my posts is not on.

How does a reader know what is the addition and what is not.

However I'll take the opportunity to remind all members that all admin and moderators do retain the right and duty under the T&Cs to modify posts if they contravene forum rules.

I also apologise for the fact that your post was responded to on the post itself rather than on a separate thread-its been fairly quiet and relaxed on here over the last few months and Im sure Roma-as a very respected mod on here-was responding in a way that most would have found acceptable-you didnt and I and the rest of the mods will take that on board.

But don't modify posts, remove them. Or if you do modify then you must inform the readrs they have been modified.

Annie people need to know what they are reading has not been modified but is the accurate opinion of the poster. Many on here complain abut journalists manipulating the facts, but the forum practices exactly that.

If posts are modified the poster is always informed fourrums-and we send a PM to the poster explaining why.

It will be from the moderator who modified.

If there is a dispute about it it goes to all moderators for discussion.

Posts are deleted if they contravene our T&Cs-no discussion and all mods are are able to do this.

You didnt get a PM because your post wasnt modified as I explained.

And thank you for the advice-I tried to understand but couldnt quite make sense of the last part.

It probably says a whole lot more about the way this Forum is actually moderated and governed that Shadow is even having this dialogue with you Rums.

This thread is just grasping at straws!

You are here by invitation not by right!

That invitation is from Shadow as Principal Admin and the person who set up this Forum, it can be revoked.

You are the newest member here and have done nothing but stir things up since your arrival. No bad thing in and of itself however you are now whinging like a spoiled child. Shouting that what is going on here on some threads is illegal (give me a break you would be laughed out of court) or somehow contravenes your rights as a member.

Well perhaps you didn't bother to read the T&C's before or after you joined, but make no mistake you have to live with us just as we have to tolerate you.

Any processes employed for particular situations are for us as Admin or Mods to follow, but not blindly. We have a thing called discretion based upon trust. That doesn't mean all members get the same kind of discretionary allowance, they earn it with respect for others. The kind of Respect which in my opinion you appear in short supply of.

Not being aggressive or attacking you, just honest and up front.
