Tragic circumstances and I don't suppose anybody will find out the truth behind it all.

The problem with this list is that as with all generalisations is that it includes crimes in which the perpetrators happen to be of the Muslim faith and presumes the crimes are committed because of this.
So included are instances of women killed by their partners because of suspected infidelity and people injured and killed as a result of wars between religious rivalry.
None of these are new or unique to the Muslim religion-indeed we only need to read our own press to hear about women and children brutally murdered by a partner for suspected infidelity, abuse and murder of children and innocent people dying when caught in the crossfire of warring factions,be it rival gangs in this country or the innocents dying as the result of action we take abroad.
I would imagine many of these perpetrators could be described as Christian and I havent even counted the abuse of children on a horrific scale by the Christian priests.
People died during the so called troubles also-because when you get people fighting innocents die.You cant include every death like this as a terrorist attack-its patently ridiculous.
I cannot even begin to imagine how many have died over the centuries as a result of religious differences but I dont think we can exactly take the moral high ground here.
And having seen what has been done in the name of various religions I choose not to be religious.
Having said that-would I not speak to a Catholic because of the abuses priests commited,or to a Muslim because of what Muslim extremists do,or to a Nigerian because of atrocities committed in that country-of course I would because the people who choose to hurt, maim, murder and abuse are not the majority.

Im not convinced by the list that all those crimes were in the name of religion-In the name of war yes,as a result of a patriarchal society yes.
Of course there will be things that are done in the name of religion-all religions have their share of supporters and indeed fanatics.
Im not getting your point here-looking at the list many of these incidents are taking place in areas of great instability such as Pakistan and Afghanistan.
And lets face it weve been doing our fair share of killing of innocents there too.
Included also are incidents in Bhagdad-now forgive me if Im wrong but everything Ive read indicates that religions did co-exist peacably until we decided to support an illegal war there and made things a thousand times worse for everyone.
I believe the fact that many american Christian missionaries also jumped on the bandwaggon and travelled there to spread the word made it appear that we were hoping to take over and you can understand people fighting to preserve their religion and culture-isnt that what you support in terms of our country ??
I remember not that long ago one of the BNP lot telling me that come the day they came into power I and others would be marched into the sea and shot
Thats the nasty face of extremism and I think that owing to the wests heavy handedness and lack of understanding of the different cultures it has led to an increase in rival religious groups and sects struggling to take power in their own countries.
And fearmongering here leads to the rise of extremism here also-right wing extremism-done in the name of preserving Britains Christian values.

What about Islamists trying to take over the UK. Area's are no go for non Muslims. Leytonstone has been declared an Islamic area governed by the Sharia.
Never ceases to amaze me how big bad Whitey is to blame all the time. You people need to pay a visit to some of these places and see for yourself. Especially the lefty women. Girls dyeing hair (see other thread) would result in stoning to death in some countries.
Islam has taken root in the UK and we've got all this coming our way.

Fourrums that is just silly. Girls dying their hair would be beaten to death under Sharia eh ?? You might be right but once again you are also wrong-and again it happened here. You need to remember Sophie Lancaster and you also need to get into the real world and see how nice old whitey can be cos old whitey can be just as nasty and intolerant as the next race-wife digresses-cut the kids throats, burn em. Look a bit different-stamped to death. Visting from abroad-shot in the head. Gay and sitting drinking with your boyfriend-petrol chucked over you and set alight. Dont tell me about no go areas because there are plenty up here-all white, all british indigenous and all whining on about immigration-its sick inducing. Same ones sat on their bottoms fathering kids and not working-token nod to Ken Booth and friends who will shoot me when the time comes
