Dianne Abott was always a person I admired until I found out that while advocating an equal rights for all stance, that she sent her own kids to private school.. Thats when I saw her for a hypocrite. I went off her from then. I loved her on question time and This Week, and her sexual chemistry with Portillo was always amusing, given their oppossing views. But I feel that her recent comments were inappropriate and indeed racist.

Well I never liked her, and admire Bansh for posting that statement. At last a lefty who is prepared to state the obvious.

Well I never liked her, and admire Bansh for posting that statement. At last a lefty who is prepared to state the obvious. Note my problem with her was initially based on social class, and not race. Her middle class status allows her to believe that she can spout off about anything she likes in the mistaken belief that her views will be respected, regardless of what they are. My belief still is that the main division in any society is social class and not race. Any race discussion is irrelevant compared to class/wealth discussions, as class is the main discrimination in our society.

She's a racist. And should be grateful she or her parents came to a country where she can live a priviledged lifestyle and not in some banana republic where those of her ethncity are unable to construct a decent society.

When do you propose a person should stop being grateful? I am a second generation immigrant. Should I be grateful that I am allowed to spout of my views on this forum? It shouldnt be about her background or family history. It should just be about her, as a british citizen making a racist remark.

Non white countries are third world. They come here for a better life and they, and their kids, should learn to respect what we have done for them. But the more they become, the more we become just like the country they left behind.
The UK will resemble Zimbabwe and Pakistan before this century is out.
Surely even you can see these people are not capable of constructing cohesive, prosperous communities.

Prove me wrong, show me countries governed by 'ethnics' which are prosperous with the benefits we in Europe enjoy.
Show me areas of the UK with ethnic majorities that are low crime.
Prove me wrong then critisize.

I don't have to prove anything, but your posts are sailing very close to "inciting racial hatred" which is against T & C's!

Prove me wrong then critisize. Do you mean like Windsor or Surrey, which have white middle class ethnic majorities? What ethnicity are you referring to Rums? You yourself are "ethnic". While you use the word "ethnic" please use it correctly or we wont know what ethnicity you are refering to. ;D

Windsor and Surrey. White majority and low crime. Peckham, Hackney .......... I know Slough very well. Its in Berkshire if you didnt know, just like Windsor. I can assure you that crime and related drug dealing are very common in that area. Surrey is next to Feltham & Hounslow, both being high crime and drug realted crime areas. If there is a political border on a map, it doesnt mean the people living in the area see a border. Its just chance if a crime gets recorded within the London Borough of Hounslow, or in Richmond, but they actually right next to each other. Some estates are postcoded Hounslow, but are actually in Richmond and the other way around. and people travel across the "border all the time, as roads can be links betwen the 2 boroughs. Some roads are even considered to be half in Richmond and half in Houslow, but the people living there see themselves as just simply living on the same road. Therefore statistics on areas are pointless.
