Ok guys.....wasnt thrilled when Pardupe was appointed......however I remember when he managed West Ham I liked him and his style..........lost his way a bit then showed up with us......circumstances?....dont know...dont care. If we can ignore the fatman and his odious keck dropping sidekick, and just look at Pardieu...what do we see........? He is eloquent, seems knowledgable and best of all I see 3 times this season where his tactical changes have provided us with results where in the past we would have lost. He treads the tightrope with broken glass on it and no safety net(Piss off the fatman and youre gone). I see really good youngsters with fire in their bellies fighting to be in the first team, I see players in the first team fighting together, supporting each other and proud to wear the shirt. The scout (Graham?...) is doing a good job with a supply line of young hard working recruits, maybe not for today , but tomorrow. I see Pardieu managing these players at all levels, and personally instructing them in their jobs on the field. May have had an awful lot to drink, but its great to not be embarrassed by my team....Dont care if and when we lose the unbeaten run...its just nice to look forward to a Saturday with anticipation win or lose. Anyway....as I said ignoring the ShitesDirect Mafia.......should we be giving Pardieu some credit?..........gotta say I'm leaning that way.

Canny - i was in the process of writing a similar comment although I wasn't going to go quite so overboard as you have done. Pardew however seems to be doing a decent job in as much as he has obviously motivated the players in such a way that many are performing over their expected levels. Can't wait to see what he's done with Perch. ;D He also appears to have the respect of the players and that is what counts as much as anything. I wrote once that I neither liked the man as person nor as a manager - still don't like him as a person (he is still a puppet) but that is part of his job description whilst as a manager he is doing the business. Can't agree 100% on his substitution record - it goes wrong as often as it goes well but hey it doesn't hurt to watch newcastle United at the moment. Roll on November and watch the big boys fall ;D Vive les fauteurs de Doom

Yes he does deserve credit but he also deserves flack for supporting a regime that does not give a flying f@c£ about the club itself. ATB

The old, old, cliche is true that Football is a results based game............ and so far they are speaking volumes about what is happening at The Toon. APee is getting credit for contributing to that primary aim of getting results and many of the support are, as with Hughton before him, now starting to warm towards the manager. The thing that has pleased me most is he now sticks to talking mainly about what is happening on the pitch....................... despite the odd reference to his Lord and Master at Gallowgate, which I reckon is firmly written in the job description as it was with Chris. As for giving him stick well just wait until the results go against The Toon for that to come back from some quarters. As IMO he has bought himself some slack and a bit of time. Also if he is going to be looked upon as supporting our most benevolent owners regime then I guess you could say the same about all of the players as well. Let's face it APee is not the only one sucking up to the Boss...............Carver does as well and Pedro appears to me currently to have his nose permanently near Mikey's rear. CWL

Ok Ok...........Monday ....at Stoke......tactics and attention to detail.........who would sub Perch for Cabaye? Who would have a man guarding our goalkeeper every long ball in? Who would play 2 up front at Stoke?......But best of all...who would get right up Pullis's nose by using their towels to clean the ball? More Credit.........come on now!

The towel thing had me peeing myself laughing - particularly when Simpson demanded a towel from the ballboy and dried the ball off meticuously only to throw it about 3 meters to the nearest player. ;D ;D ;D Perch booked first tackle - some things never change

Watching APee walking the line in the technical area is becoming compulsive viewing........................ Not since SBR have I witnessed a manager who shows a whole range of emotions during a match. When he stands arms folded you know it's going okay.............. CWL
