Premier League clubs' foreign owners are accused of wanting to destroy the fabric of British football - by SCRAPPING relegation from the top flight.
League Managers Association chief executive Richard Bevan claimed a group of American and Asian tycoons wish to turn their backs on 120 years of history and make the Premier League a closed shop.
This not the first time it has been proposed although I can see how the rise in Foreign ownership changes the situation to a degree. Personally I'm unable to see it getting anywhere as promotion and relegation are at the heart of the whole league structure.
What do you make of this..............?
