The Mags find themselves heading off back to the Midlands again for the seventh fixture in the 2011/12 Premier League season. This time it is a little further to the West and Molineux, home of Mick McCarthys Wolves.
APee and his team will be looking to continue their unbeaten run that has them sitting in fourth spot after six league games.
Last season's affair ended in a 1 - 1 draw although the main talking point was the controversial treatment of Joey Barton throughout the game.
Newcastle's away record at Wolves is about as dismal as Wolves record away to The Toon over the years so don't expect a classic. That said the Lads are in an excellent frame of mind following the terrific victory over Blackburn. I expect this to be a much tougher affair although The Toon do look capable of scoring goals and taking all three points with a bit of luck......................
Surprisingly APee also has a strong squad from which to choose his side with only Williamson and Haris Vuckic reported as likely to miss out on possible selection. Davide Santon having played the full game in the fine midweek victory (3- 5) away against Swansea and with Stroller recovered from a shoulder problem, both come back into contention for a starting place. It will also be interesting to note whether Harper retains his spot on the bench.
I suspect APee will again stick to the side which started and played most of the game against Rovers. Confidence is high and this may be as good an opportunity to get a very rare victory as they have had in quite a while.
