im just getting over an airway infection ( i blame those bloody pigeons ) anyway im feeling a lot better now but i have another problem, ive been getting a pain now and again in one of my testicles not constant it just comes and goes, i found a very small lump and squeezed it and nearly went through the roof im 99.99% sure it's a csyt, ive had one before so dont look forward to having it removed as i remember the last one, going to go to the docs on monday to get it checked out.

Hi Skint, its good that you are checking it out, I know it can be embarrassing but I went after losing blood and no it wasnt from shaving my chin. the doc I saw at the time was female and young, I nearly walked out, anyway it turns out that if I hadnt gone then I would have had bowel cancer now. good luck and have fortitude, keep us informed as it is an education to blokes who wont go and get it seen to

i had one once before and went to the hospital as it was a sunday it took nearly 5 hours to get seen, it was on the right one and every time it rubbed against my leg it was like getting a good kick so it had to be removed and got it done the same day, the biggest problem is the stay in hospital i like to get out as soon as possible, i dont get embarrassed on the monday after my op a Dr came around with a load of students male and female and i had to show them my very swollen testicles, they swelled up and looked like a purple melon, i spent 2 weeks doing the john wayne walk,
i heard you can have an ultra sound test to see exactly what it is so if it turns out just to be another cyst ill wait i little while before getting it removed as it does not give a lot of bother at the moment but i want to get it checked just to be sure.

I often think that male health issues arent taken as seriously or talked as openly as female ones so Im glad you have the confidence to raise the topic.

i think a lot of men get scared if a lump appears be it on their testicles or anywhere else but the problem is they think ignore it and it might go away, i would advise anyone man or woman if you get a lump get it checked out, it may be something simple and if not it's best to get it treated as soon as possible,
another problem with men they are scared in case the Dr is female, it's funny if a strange female asked them to whip it out they probably would but get embarrassed if a female Dr asks them to strip, male or female doctors are professionals and they have seen naked men and women before,
ive had a cyst on my testicles before so been through all the show me your nuts routine, testicle cysts are quite common and i was told after having the last one removed once you have had one you have a high chance of getting another, i wont lie it's very painfull after the op but a lot better than worrying youself sick over it.

Some conditions do tend to be more embarrassing than others but Ive noticed it tends to be arond the unmentionable areas

Years back we had a female member on the Journal section asking about recurrent Breast abcesses-its a common and bloody excruciating problem which no one mentions

Ive had four ops for it and its not funny.The pain when they develop is untrue-and the pain after equally so because the wound has to be packed from the inside out for weeks

Im lucky in the sense that they havent come back for years now but I know that its a very common problem with women-just no-one talks about it cos its there

Now mention a tooth abcess and most people have a story

been to the doctors today nothing to worry about it's just another cyst, he said no need for surgery as it's not giving me any real dicomfort, he also said it may just disappear on it's own.

Pleased everything is OK, Skint....when these things happen there's always a tendency to think the worst....now you can relax!

the doctor said testical cysts are common a lot of men have them but they dont even know they are there because they give no pain at all, mind you it's the lumps that dont give any pain are the ones you have got to be careful of, testical cancer lumps dont give any pain, anyway im glad i got it checked out and it's just a cyst it does not bother me that much.
