This weekend takes The Toon across to the West Coast with an away game at Blackpool,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Will the Mags build on the very positive performance against Manure in our last outing or will it be a less illuminating affair? At least visiting supporters going to the game can expect a bit better weather than the last time we played them when in the Championship. That was a miserable Wednesday night in September 2009 and we lost 2 - 1 with Andy Carroll scoring his first league goal of that season. Big Andy has obviously moved on and this time it's a Premier League clash. The game is also a sell out for away supporters with 2100 taking up the entire allocation. Team wise it's looking as though Krul will retain his place between the sticks with Harper still out with injury. Danny Guthrie is also missing and his season could be over all together with the news the player suffered an injury that has left his foot in plaster. On a positive note however skipper Kevin Nolan is back in the frame for a recall following his two match suspension which concluded with the Manure fixture. Will The Toon get Tango'd by the men in orange or will it be a case of 'We do like to be beside the seaside'...............what do you think? CWL

I think we have a chance, Blackpool has been awful at home and only Sunderland has a worse form at the moment.
Which makes it likey that we won't get anything from them...

Previous form and longstanding stats always seem to go out of the window when Newcastle United play. At best a 2-2 draw here.

3-1 to us, i think our defence will be kept busy but because of the way they play we can hit them on the break, lets hope our players can get the ball on target this time.

Blackpool 1 - 1 Toon..................Half-Time. Probably fair although we are not exactly doing ourselves any favours with some of the defending. Great goal from Lovenkrands. Apart from that we have not really created much to cause them problems. Working hard enough but lack quality and cutting edge up front. CWL
