Name me a modern footballer who isn't a mercenary? No one in their right minds would turn down the money these guys are being offered regardless of whether they play or not! The daft thing is players like Owen try to defend it, coming out with stupid statements about how they are worth it, gave 100% to the cause etc. and that's what gets supporters backs up! Why can't they just be up front and say yes I came for the money, wouldn't you have? If you question Owen's motives you also have to wonder what the hell was going through Freddies head................... CWL  |

Must agree with you there CWL, if they just told the truth, and said they were doing it for the money!!!! They must think fans are stupid!! They'd probably get a lot more respect if they were honest about it. Mind TBH, I think their greed knows no bounds!!!

This shithead is the worst person to ever play for us.........He is an obnoxious, lying, supercilious, lazy , money grabbing t.w.a.t.
We were never good enough for him from his first public airing when he came here. He was embarrassed and showed it from day one.....but guess what?..no body else would take him at the time. He looked down his nose at us, played as little as he could, unless an England game was coming up and just took our money and never ever committed himself to the cause...
Eventually, even Shearer saw through him, and didnt use him when we needed all the help we could get.
If Owen was on fire, I wouldnt piss on him.......
