A fantastic sight earlier this evening. 3 chevrons about sixty geese in all flying north. Made me think about the first chapter of Mitchener's Chesapeake - a brilliant piece of writing. (Book thread).

5 more V formations this evening. Unable to tell how many birds and unfortunately they were much to high to take a decent pic.
