I'm just acknowledging what Ashley has done for us...We all blamed him for taking us down....Well he got us back up and in our first season we have stayed up and turned quite a few heads doing it. Shouldn't Ashley get the credit apart from Chrissy Hughton? Or are we fans hypocrites who can only point the finger? I bet most won't give Ashley any credit. I know you're wiser than them Are you no longer opposed to The Fat Controllers ownership? CWL #Thinking# No because there is nothing I can do. And besides I care more about NUFC and will attend as many games as I can. Do you mind his owndership? I'm sure you don't either because we continue going to games and you are renewing your season ticket as well for next season. I'll be there as well attending games with you. Surely if we minded so much we'd have boycotted the club and not put money into the club.

Please take this elsewhere. THis is supposed to be a prediction thread not an Ashley praising tribute.

Don't confuse my going to games as a sign I support Ashley . Like you it's that I care more about NUFC than Ashley I continue to go for my reasons, despite his ownership not because of it. My money and support is given to the team and Club not any particular owner. The fact that money may well go into the pocket of an unscrupulous business man only out to further his own ends is something I have to live with although always in the hope he will eventually go one day. Our current owner is not the first nor likely to be the last to make a fast buck from the Newcastle cash cow. I still maintain the belief The Fat Controller is not good for the Club I support and so far no one has been able to shake me of that belief. I find his decision making highly suspect, communication skills abysmal, ambitions doubtful, promises worthless and primarily his aims are purely money orientated. The last four years have led me to believe that is the case although I do concede he did buy a Club in a mess financially. Then again NUFC was not the only one operating like that in the PL. If anything the fact he bought The Toon without doing due dilligence probably highlights his short comings as being a suitable owner in the first place. I respect your opinion and why you have a different view. However this looks like another one we are not going to see eye to eye over so probably best we just leave it at that. Time will tell which of us held the more valid viewpoint and I'll be more than happy to discuss it with you once he has gone. CWL

Time will tell which of us held the more valid viewpoint and I'll be more than happy to discuss it with you once he has gone. CWL I for one DID have a personal boycott when we were in the fizzy pop league........almost managed a FULL season of home games (attended many away games and visited many "new" grounds) however, in the end, my love for Newcastle United was too strong!! The "not attending" tore me apart and the Fat One was chuckling away! Despite my very strong views on Mike Ashley and what he has done to ruin my beloved football club, I decided he WILL NOT WIN!! One day he will Foxtrot Oscar!! (F**k Off)and leave us in peace. Iwill be at the cathedral on the hill in 10 or more years time..........will MA and his lackey, Dekka the lying casino boss? Since the day he took over, and until the day AFTER he leaves........I have not and will not put one PENNY into club merchandise, beer, pies, stadium tours whatever because I firmly believe that the Obese One has one goal and one goal only........that is to recupe the Millions that he so stupidly frittered away in the first place by NOT doing due diligence!! Make no mistake, he may have balanced the books and got the wages down but neither MA OR streaker Dekka give a flying f**k about the future of Newcastle United!! He's a Spuds fan, FFS!!!
