To clarify Patsie-no forum member can do anything at all to another members post other than report.And then it would be up to staff to deal with that.Your profile,along with all members on here was modified by me a while back,because personal details were showing that I felt compromised members safety.Posts are generally edited only if there theres a damn good reason and members are informed when this occurs via PM.

Having said that theres also an element of discretion and I think all of us mods have used that at some point.
