Any predictions for this evenings big game? If Barca don't play to the top of their game Manure could cause an upset. One thing for sure Fergie will have them well prepared and I doubt it will be like the 2009 final. Should be an enthralling game to watch.....................the almost care free approach of Barca against what I consider to be the ultimate professional Football Club in Manure. Which side will win.......................Umm! As much as I dislike them, on this occasion just for the hell of it I'll take Fergies side as they are representing the Premier League and this country. Manure 2 - 1 Barca.............. Win or lose I hope it's a great game and something all football fans will look back on favourably. Now probably just put kiss of death on it as a spectacle and it will be dreadful.......... CWL |

Hate Manure but fine by me if they win if only for English bragging rights. Frankly I don't mind one way or the other as I feel Messi may just be the difference between the two sides.
Either way I'm hoping for a great game and looking forward to it immensely. (Kiss of death).

Watching last nights game brought back memories of that terrific 5 - 0 win by The Toon against manure. Rarely do you see Fergies side so completely outplayed. They got off lightly at 3 - 1. Every single Barca player was at the top of their game throughout the 90+ minutes. Messi, Xavi and Iniesta in midfield were sublime. Loved the sound bite by one commentator, although unable to remember which one, who said that Football Coaches around the world will be clapping their hands after this game as it will make such a difference teaching the game to kids. I remember what it was like having watched the amazing Brazilian side in 1970 win the World Cup against Italy. We all wanted to play that way. This display by Barca will produce the same result far more than when Spain won the last World Cup. Already had the request for the Barca shirt with Messi on the back from my 5 year old grandson. On this occasion I can hardly blame him.................... CWL |
