OK, so the ref. was a little biased at times but in my opinion NONE of his decisions had any direct bearing on the result. No disallowed goals, no incorrect offside rulings. Only Barton's yellow card was dubious and that can be appealed. Any dissatisfaction should be channeled towards our total ineffectiveness in front of goal. On the day Blackburn were there for the taking but we could not capitalize on our midfield and Enrique's dominance.

Is it only me or did we look like Arsenal against Blackburn? Playing some really slick football but not having someone to aim at in the box? Was frustrating to watch this game with so many opportunities but not that many chances. Løvenkrands unfortunate to hit the bar and a reflex save stopped Colo's effort. Blackburn only looked dangerous when they had free-kicks that they could throw in our box from distance Stoke style, we had some problems with those free-kicks too. Side commentary was singing José's praises all game, if you mention Jose's name to Salgado he will probably get a haunted look in his face. Superb crosses from Enrique, watch and learn Jónas, and the only lack of any real pressence in box prevented any goals from them.

Yes, I agree with you Fairs, I was watching MOTD and what struck me was, that every time we had a chance at goal, there was no one there!!!! All the top teams seem to have players in the right spots in front of goal!!!

What a performance. Result might have not gone our way but thats the football we want to see. Free flowing inventive, imaginative football with great wing play. Pity we didn't have a CF to finish them off. Can't wait for the flying finn to get in. Kuqi will score us the goals. He's good.

Not disputing what you say Fairsy about the game itself or our lack of a goal scorer, however I still firmly believe Attwell is a poor official. CWL
