i havent been on lately due to my back giving me a bit of trouble, it's getting a bit better now but still painful, it's also making me a bit grumpy now i know why a lot of old people seem to moan and groan a lot, it's the aches and pains of getting old.

What's the doctor said? Is it something that will get better or are you stuck with it for ever.

Sorry to hear about you're back, skint....I have the usual aches & pains......a little bit of back pain....I notice when I pass shop windows & catch sight of my reflection with stooped way of walking....who's that old fella I think to myself then realize its me! My knees are a bit dodgy too, especially one that I hit with a starting handle years ago. As for my ears & bloody wax in them, I get sick of not hearing conversations properly. My hair is thinning especially that bit on the top where the barber holds the mirror up to show you the back of your head! Otherwise I'm not too bad but I suppose it will get worse.....pessimistic to the end! ;D

I don't know that older people do moan and groan so much. Aches and pains and various sicknesses are all part and parcel of growing old. Most are prepared for it. I imagine it is more difficult for younger people to accept that they may have to live for many years in pain.
