As this is the honesty thread what do you make of this................. www.nufc.co.uk/articles/20110321/best-and-ireland-were-sorry_2281670_2321494Am I surprised this has happened? No! Am I annoyed about it? What's the point! This is just another indication to me that things are not as they should be...................... Starting with why on earth did we sign Ireland on loan? I'm closer to a first team call up than this guy...............although put money on it will he will be bigging himself and Pardew up prior to the next home game against Wolves. Best out with injury against Stoke, but okay for night on the Toon yet unable to go with the squad for the game........................Why? Then the same player heads off for the RoI squad gathering in International week. Your having a laugh! The one I really feel for is young Stephen Folan who was possibly also dragged into this farce by two senior squad players. After our dismal showing at Stoke it makes me wonder what punishment will be handed out by Pardew and co.................. CWL Were you there S***? Did you go? ATB

Capt M if you mean did I go to Stoke or was I in Tup Tup when the dynamic trio of shirt lifters were baring all? No on both counts............ Shame these players aren't seen visiting Hospitals as much as they frequent bars................. CWL

Right on q.............. www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/03/23/stephen-ireland-set-for-bow-against-wolves-72703-28387580/and for good measure part 2................. www.chroniclelive.co.uk/newcastle-united/nufc-news/2011/03/23/best-and-ireland-disciplined-over-club-visit-72703-28387578/One question just how does a manager discipline players like this? Fines are of no concern as they have too much money for it to bother them. Unable to threaten them with being dropped as they are either out injured anyway or mere bench warmers. Even with a paper thin squad some of them are struggling to push for a start. How about they have to portray the Club in a good light with some voluntary work involving handicapped or disadvantaged kids in the area. Month of Hospital visits or other community based initiatives etc. etc. etc. Will it happen....................who knows, but I will be the first in line to shake their hands and admit I was wrong should any of the above happen. Will not be holding my breath however while waiting. Still not sure what I find more frightening, stuff being written like this or the fact we were drubbed 4 - 0 on Saturday. As the piece about our performance against Stoke in the second article is IMO definitely worrying. CWL

He said: “When you have a two-week break and come up against a team in the semi-finals of the FA Cup, it can be difficult. “It wasn’t about discipline or other things, it was purely about our focus. That’s why we decided to have a good week on the training ground. “I don’t think the scoreline reflected the game, but I won’t hide behind the stats. We were soundly beaten, and we don’t want that to happen again.” Three statements from Mr Pardupe. that for me illustrate that he simply loves the sound of his own voice. 1. What is it that is so difficult? 2. Shouldn't every week on the training ground be good? 3. Contradiction to end contradictions. You are losing the plot Mr. P. Tick tock, tick tock
