I think Nolan has always been an honest type. I seem to remember it getting him into trouble for some reason at Bolton. Correct me if i am wrong. Carroll was his mate , I'm sure he is pleased for him. There are most likely quite a few players feeling disallusioned at the moment. Thanks Mike.

Perhaps it's because I have followed this Club for so long I am neither surprised nor moved emotionally by the events of this week involving the sale of Carroll. I have witnessed many players come and go over the years, some of which as with the transfer out of Andy I believe are mistakes. Doesn't change anything having that opinion as I am totally unable to influence the decisions taken by Owners or previous Chairmen, Directors and Boards at NUFC. What does surprise me is that many younger fans have been really stirred up by this transfer yet fail to understand we are a selling Club under this regime. Something like this has always been on the cards under Ashley, it was just a matter of when, not if it happened. CWL

I'm pretty certain he's happy and pleased because now he has his house by himself again.
Wonder if that means Carroll will have to move in with Gerrard now?

Kevin "Super" Nolan is the honest type. Of course even I would be pleased to see my mate go to the club I supported as a boy . I'm sure Nolan meant well. They were close those two.

The players look up to him and he is worthy of all the praise he gets..

Nolan is an inspiration like Barton. These two are pillars of our squad.

Borrowed from the ronnie. This guy expresses it for me:
Regardless of whether or not all Toon fans agree with our Captains opinions, nobody could deny the lads honesty and integrity, two qualities sadly lacking in most modern day players.
He speaks from the head, not the heart when he's on about the Carroll sale and 35 million plus a 25% sell on clause, (now the dust is settling) seems like good business in all honesty...AS LONG AS ITS REINVESTED!!! Only time will tell, but I believe a fair outlay on 4 or 5 quality squad players who bring both quality and competition to the 1st Team squad will see us steadily improve and nudge further towards the Europa places next season.
He also speaks from the heart when he talks about loving the club and the city and just looking at the lads body language and support he offers the team during games, not to mention the Funky Chicken when he scores shows the lad has an infinity with the fans along with possessing natural leadership qualities.
The players obviously respect him as well and he seems to be willing to issue the odd rollicking on the pitch and also receive them as well without letting it affect his game.
Aye, I reckon we have a real captain at our club and a dressing room that will steadily improve our league position over the next few years with some quality additions.
HWTL!! KEEP THE FAITH
