This was an expession often coined by our old friend Cushing. Anyone remember him? ;D It seems to me the lad (whoever he was) ;D wasn't that far off the mark when you look at our own supporters. Recently we've experienced the following (there are probaly very many more examples) De Jong - many, myself included, screaming for his signature after the World Cup. A couple of bad tackles later and eveyone screaming for his blood Barton - many, myself included screaming for his blood after he was sent off against Liverpool. Now he's one of the mainstays of our team. Michael Owen - many, myself included thrilled when he signed for Newcastle only to blame him for almost everything that went wrong later. Andy Carroll - many screaming for his blood after a few incidents in the Bigg Market. Now some, not including myself, are calling him a Judas. As I say the list goes on and on. Funny old world isn't it?

The opinions may be fickle, not sure it makes the fans saying it that though as they still keep turning up to support the team............. CWL.

As I am one of those affected Yes you are correct................... I'm still way off deciding about renewing. Long unbroken run of years as ST holder may be coming to an end. CWL

Aye I remember Cush, FONDLY. Marky , I didn't mean to send your blood pressure sky high As both you and CWL have pointed out this was not so much a slight on long time supporters who as you say have supported the Toon through thick and thin despite being papped upon. It was more a reflection of how opinions aren't always carved in stone.

What really psssssssss me off is the way fans of other Clubs along with various sections of the media portray Newcastle Supporters. We all get lumped in with the bedsheet moron brigade while Liverpools protests and Manures Green and Gold camapign are seen as some kind of crusade. Meantime questions are still asked why fans have not tried to get rid of The Fat Controller . As if your average fan has a spare £200m to buy him out, even if he would accept that much! While not a word is said in anger about Manures American owners still being there and that Liverpool only got out of their mess because of the RBS calling the shots on the debt. Still think many in the press are waiting for the Scousers to fall flat on their ass's again and they have the gaul to call us fickle! CWL

Not given up yet Magpie, but our financially focussed Owner is making the decision a tough one.....................If he would lower the cost a bit might bloody help, but can't see him doing that either! As for other fans views I'm well capable of dealing with those, it's the myopic press boys that really annoy. CWL
