Sometimes with cars we get a nice surprise when what we think will be expensive turns out quite cheap. I tried a last year to get my air con refilled but there seemed to be a blockage and the garage was unsure what was causing it, i got a couple of possible reasons and costs to put right of between £120 to £400 the weather was cool so i thought i will wait till next year, so now we have some hot weather i thought time to sort out the air con but first i wanted a new alternator belt and that is when i found out why the air con was not refilling, the last and only owner of the car had put the wrong belt on which was short and bypassed the air con flywheel for the pump, once the new belt was fitted i got the air con refilled and while testing to see how cold it got in my car the windscreen started to ice up on the inside so i think it's working well , well i am just happy that what i was thought was going to be expensive was very cheap, well in a way cost nothing to fix because i was changing the belt anyway.
