Sourmilky I don't know how far you're limits go but they never stopped you drinking with me or anyone else in the past, even that steep flight of stairs at the Forth were not beyond you're limits.

Skint - love your remarks about the decorating. I was forced into it last year by my sister and I knew it was time for a change (I hate change)!! Result - ripping out and replacing carpets - painting wood kitchen cabinets and dining room walls - smaller more modern furniture (some new, some hand-me-downs) I love it!! I don't think I would have done it by myself, however, I still worry that when I meet my hubby in the next life I'll be sorry that we painted the wood that he loved so much!!!

Patsie Im sure the last thing on your hubbies mind will be the walls or cabinets-he'll just be happy to be with you and vice versa And lets not mention decorating-did a load last year but Im getting the urge to totally redo everything-just fancy a change.

I'm otherwise engaged.....................I'm gutted LOL Its a real shame youve decided to take that approach. The people who will attend gave you a huge amount of support after June died.At least three of us were there to talk to you any time you chose to ring us and you rang us often. My husband also spoke to you often when you rang our house. When you were able to venture out we were there for you and we gave you alot of support-in your own words we were your friends as well as Junes. When you met Alice we were welcoming and she was invited to the meets. However your attitude then changed. You never again attempted to ring any of us again nor attended any meet. And you became increasingly hostile. Cards on the table-I saw skint extended the olive branch by offering to buy you a drink-but I wasnt surprised by your response. We put up with one hell of a lot during your bereavement and were happy to do so since we saw you as a friend-but put up with you now on a social level-I dont think so-so thanks for sparing us the embarrassment For everyone else-until I hear different-May the second it is

My remarks were intended to be amusing, I'll be less subtle in future. Most Saturdays I work (on a voluntary peripatetic basis) with severely disabled children in the North East region, which is extremely rewarding. I doubt I would turn up anyway, I was unhappy to drag myself up the stairs, and experience severe pain at the Forth, for the convenience of smokers. Obviously I didn't wish to annoy or insult you, but I do suggest you have a longer fuse in future.

sourmilky I don't think shads got the wrong end of the stick this is just you backtracking, as for you're comment about the stairs at the Forth, it was more of leaped than dragged and not once did you complain about the stairs or voice how they made you unhappy.

Yes you're right........you don't think. Leaped up the stairs, a desperate despicable lie. Maybe the reason you didn't hear me complain, is either unlike you I'm not a drama queen! Or it may be people with their head up their own arse, miss what other people are saying. Shadow seems to lose her sense of humour and didn't get me, understandable due to her circumstances of late. You've lost yours when you've started supported UKIP. I would have thought a sense of humour is essential, because people will laugh at you, not with you. I don't "Backtrack" I stand by what I say, if people like it tough. If on the rare occasion I'm wrong, I admit it. On this occasion that doesn't apply.

Oh I see.I didnt get the amusement value of comments such as "my weekends are filled","I'm not too fussy with whom I drink, but I do have limits" and of course "Think it may be dead in the water! Maybe a phone box with a bar maybe suitable". Sorry-from reading that it looked a wee bit negative-but hey if you say its funny who am I to argue with that wit Oops missed one-"I'm otherwise engaged.....................I'm gutted LOL" Fabulous and how could anyone be either annoyed or insulted by any of that? One thing tho-you didnt drag yourself upstairs for the convenience of smokers. You came for our company after June died-youre forgetting we suggested alternatives-that might be the drink-understandable under the circumstances-and you were there way before most of us-a little tad the worse for wear but we understood - you gave us all things belonging to June-hey Ive still got the cat statue and I thank you for that. Believe Bansh still has the bag. Anyway I digress. You most certainly attained a walking ability when it came to drinkie time-skints not lying-the sticks were discarded whilst you made it up and down those stairs without complaint. But thats in the past. Working with disabled kids eh?-Interesting.What do you do?

Working with disabled kids eh?-Interesting.What do you do? I'm pleased you and Banshee still have June's things. When I lost her I thought my world had come down around me, and wondered if I should move back to Lancashire. I obviously stayed up here, and I was so blessed to marry another special woman. Lightning can strike twice. As far as my humour goes, you must remember my ironic streak, but don't worry Americans don't understand it either. I'm passionate about the NHS, as within the last two years I've been indebted to it. I had a nasty bout of pneumonia in both lungs which was touch and go for a while, and a seizure 18 mouths, and Alice had a blood clout in her groin which she almost lost two of her toes. The prospect of a Tory/UKIP government rings the death knell for the NHS that we know. I work with disabled children interacting with music i.e. tambourines, drums, handbells and other percussion instruments. We both get allot out if it, but I don't do it every weekend. You wouldn't want me to burn myself out. :-) Hope Mr Shadows keeping better now.
