Will first passed the post, although not ideal, stop people like the more unsavoury parties such as UKIP and the almost defunct BNP out of parliament. With PR, they would gain some seats. It will also keep the Greens out which is a pity, as they are the voice of reason.

I wouldn't put it past UKIP people to regard FPTP as the reason they don't win parliamentary elections, the way they won the European elections last year. Some of them probably do.
Anyway, let's see how many MPs they get.

Indeed, the only MP's they have are the one that have defected. The General Election will be made a little more interesting than the last one. So grudgingly I'm indebted to UKIP,not enough to vote for then ?

So grudgingly I'm indebted to UKIP,not enough to vote for then ? In fairness, those defected MPs called by-elections, and got elected. However, I believe by-elections are more likely to produce maverick winners, but I'm not certain about that. Anyway, let's hope UKIP do very badly in the General Election in May.

sourmilky you will probably sit and work out who has paid you the most in benefits when choosing who to vote for, you are no better than the Royal parasites or the MPs with their noses in the trough.

And who pay's you're benefits??? You can always always tell who's lost the argument and can't debate...........those who try to insult and go off topic.......guilty on both counts. Now go away and let the adults talk.

sourmilky it is sad you have to ask that it shows that benefits seem to be they only way you know how to live.

sourmilky it is sad you have to ask that it shows that benefits seem to be they only way you know how to live. In other words you live off benefits! That okay, but don't you think it's a little hypocritical for you to criticise others that do?

sourmilky if it makes you happy to believe everyone lives on benefits then that is up to you. Not talking about others I'm taking about you, you and you. Everyone knows you do! Just admit it.

sourmilky try reading my second post again and again and again until you understand what it means. I know actually what it means, it means you wouldn't admit to receiving benefits, yet criticise those who do. One word hypocrite. Evading only weakens all your posts.
