True but then again......don't think they'll miss him. Plenty of others to do the job........strong squad anyone? Agree that we will probably get the backlash now, think Fergie would have rested a few for our game had they won

Bolton 0 - 5 Stoke........................in the other Semi-Final played today. Didn't see that coming personally, although it has to be said it was well deserved in the end with Stoke reaching the FA Cup final for the first time in their history. Matthew Etherington gave The Potters an early first half lead lead on eleven minutes. Two further goals from Robert Huth and Kenwyne Jones rounding off an excellent half for Tony Pulis's side. In the second half two more goals from former Bolton reject Jonathan Walters added an extra special flavour to the victory. City became the first team for 72 years to win a semi-final by a five-goal margin as they matched Wolves' five-goal hammering of Grimsby back in 1939. This victory now sets them up for a date against Manchester City on May 14 in the 130th FA Cup final. Stoke fans will finally get to experience the world's oldest cup competition and, win or lose, will be playing in the Europa League next year providing City claim a Champions League berth. CWL

Believe it or not today is FA Cup Final day................... The game contested between Abu Dhabi franchise Madchester Citeh and Tom Jones Potty Stoke City..................... Anyone care to predict the result..................? For me I would like Stoke to win for no other reason than it's their first ever final, however expect the age old trophy to head back with the Blue Moon lot. Still who knows the football Gods may have a surprise or two in store for us this afternoon. CWL

Marlene..............No, Toure scored as I was replying to Polly's post. As it happens it did eventually turn out to be the final score............... Following this monumental victory over Stoke no doubt Citeh will become the new darlings of football in this country. Certainly based upon the reaction today of ITV Sport they will be on our screens throughout their Champions League campaign. Some of the stuff spouted was gut wrenching.................. CWL

I suppose anyone can win anything, if you throw enough money at them *sigh*. Chelsea were the same when Abramovich (sp) first took over. I wish someone would remind fatso of that!!!! They were the better team though - and so they should be with hundreds of millions worth of players!!! Still, it could have been worse - it could have been Manure!

Probably sums up football in this country that the Club with the biggest debt win the League Title and the Club with the most money behind them win the Cup........................ Level playing field, they're having a laugh...................... CWL

Wembly was very level!! Did you see the grass, it was bootiful ;D Do they have comps for groundsmen, like they do for grooms with racehorses? As in who has the best turned out horse, or in footie, ground? They should, as the groundsmen must put in a canny effort judging by the state of some of the grounds' grass
