Newcastle's Capital One Cup second round tie against Morecambe has been selected for live broadcast by Sky Sports.

As a result, it will kick-off at 7.45pm (UK Local Time) on Wednesday, August 28th.

The Toon were drawn against the League Two side, who knocked Wolves out in the first round, on Thursday lunchtime.

The match will be played at the Shrimpers Globe Arena, which opened in 2010, and ticket details will follow in due course. The ground only holds just over 6000 fans so don't expect many to be available to away supporters. The Toon Army could quite easily take the lot!

Sly Sports as always looking for an upset hence we get the TV gig.

Jack is safe, however a very good single malt kindly donated by fellow mags is diminishing so if you fancy replacing it for me that would be nice!

As for this game well I just may need a Jack or two to get me through it. Should The Toon lose it may all be too much to handle....

Single Malt eh? Have to remember that when I pass the duty free shop at Heathrow
