I do not have a problem with his stance, good luck to him I say. I believe he is willing to wear either a plain shirt or one with the name of a charity on it. I do find it a bit strange that he wore the Virgin money logo but it is the massive interest Wonga charge he has a problem with... Then there is the Ashley factor the fat bully who is determined to get his way whatever the outcome, wherever that takes us... ATB

Yes, I agree Cap, I'm with him on this one. I think the whole team should refuse to wear a legalised loan shark logo! Aren't Tiote and Ben Arfur Muslims as well? Are they refusing too?

Therein lies the problem Ann!! Yes, they ARE also Muslims but they seem ok with wearing the brand!!! Both have been seen training with the logo on their gear. I read somewhere that once Demba Ba went to Chelski, Cisse became No.1 and is pushing for a pay rise!!! most likely his money grabbing agent is behind all this.......... The situation has risen before and the player(s) involved were allowed to wear un branded shirts or (as Cisse has allegedly agreed too), one bearing the logo of a local charity

As with many issues at NUFC the major stumbling block is communications. So much being published as fact in the media without a shred of real substance other than Cisse is definitely in dispute with The Club. Whether it's because of Wonga, the name on the shirt, pushing for a new deal for more Wonga, a transfer away or just plain sh*t stirring it doesn't really matter. The latest news that Cisse didn't travel with the rest of the squad to Portugal another example of poor management from the top down. While the use of the shirt dispute as justification simply feeble and inexcusable to say the least, for both player and Club. For a Club doing a whole load of talking behind the scenes it doesn't say much up front. However as we have experienced time and time again nothing new in that. So much left to speculation among supporters it's unreal... I'm sure something like this happening in any other form of employment wouldn't generate half the amount of attention, whether deserved or otherwise. The Club are certainly not being viewed in a positive way, but Cisse doesn't get off free either as it appears to be very much a show of player power, if not an open declaration he wants to leave. Regardless of him holding the so called moral high ground plenty of other people would argue he is in breach of contract. Not that contracts mean much in Football other than to determine how much money someone gets for kicking a ball. Just one more thing in a whole list of stuff p***ing me off big time and the bloody season hasn't even started for real yet. Light's Oot!

As usual the fans are left high and dry guessing at what is going on. You hit the nail on the head my friend with the total lack of communication there is none whatsoever coming out of the place. It has been suggested that Cisse wants to discuss his problem but no-one is prepared(or told not to)listen to what concerns him, I can believe that!! Where that leaves us with the number of strikers we have or end up with God knows! ATB

Plenty of sources reporting this afternoon that the dispute between Cisse and NUFC over wearing the shirt fes'Toon'ed with sponsor Wonga on it has been resolved. Now there's a surprise...Not! The player will join up again with the rest of the squad for training tomorrow and depending upon fitness (sic) may have a run out on Sunday away at Blackpool. Should be interesting to see whether or not his agent can sort a deal with some Russian or other outfit prepared to match wor Mikey's valuation between now and end of transfer window. Can't see it being a loan deal though... Lights Oot!

do you know there is a prayer room at the training ground for the muslims?. get shot i say. The above was posted earlier today on this thread by member standanders. Unfortunately due to human error it was inadvertently removed and the original details of the poster lost in the process. I have however managed to recover what the post contained and that is the above. With that lot out of the way it does beg the question why would you want to get rid of a prayer room at the training ground? Mikey short of space to store new kit from Puma? Lights Oot!
