It matters not to him who plays in his game. The fatman gets off lightly this time and maximises his income ....his money....his gamble........whine and pissmoan as much as you like thats the way it is and will be while we play football roullette. He has 52,000 suckers lining his pockets, whoever manages the team or who plays ......... The fatman has got off lightly that bits true now will he admit he has backed the wrong horse and get rid of the embarrasment or will he continue backing a lame duck? I do not believe 52,000 will carry on supporting the way they have done I think people will expect big changes. ATB

If it is to be the status quo for next season then he is going nowhere with Pardew in charge. On another tack did you see the Wigan game against City? Mcmanaman looks like a very good player reminds me of Gerrard.s

Now that we stay up will the FCB reinvest it in the club? We have all summer to wait and see. . . . . . .

Canny you may well be correct. However, after watching two managers respective send offs they received from a Clubs support it made me stop and think. Would Sir Alex have survived at The Toon given his early record? Have a read of this www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2321254/Alex-Ferguson-retires-Fan-wanted-manager-1989-explains-banner.html By the same token would David Moyes the man that is now going to replace him at Old Trafford stood a chance at The Toon given his early days at Everton? IMO the truthful answer is probably not on both counts, yet considering we have won nowt for over forty years the constant cry for change still almost overrides everything else. Would we be quite so vocal about getting rid of managers had we won something at least once in that forty years? Who knows! Moyes left Everton a hero yesterday and yet never gave those supporters a single piece of Silverware. He certainly has had his good and bad moments during an eleven year tenure but appears to have left them in decent shape. As I said it does make you stop and think. For me we have witnessed two extremes under APee regarding Newcastle. The first a fifth place season which no one expected followed by an equally dramatic reverse the following campaign. The reasons for both can and probably will be debated long and hard during the close season if not longer. However like it or lump it both are history. Yes errors in judgement have been made, not just by APee but our most benevolent owner as well. The major difference being one will possibly be given the sack while the other continues to fiddle and laugh all the way to the bank. Meantime the faithful will continue to moan, bicker, swear they are never going back and yet continue to do so like some brain affected drug addict. The withdrawl being far worse to suffer than just going..... Suckers perhaps, but a show of almost insane loyalty that at times is incredible to witness. All of it is what gives Geordies and NUFC a special place in the world of Football. On that basis alone and it may go against logic never mind commonsense, but APee IMO should be given a third season for him and the players to get it right. Lights Oot!

I would like to bet that both Ferguson and Moyes never came out with a quarter of the bullsh@t Pardew comes out with or the pathetic excuses he makes either. ATB

Capn.....after reading all of the above....and the true underlying message that the Fatman controls the club and its personnel his way only........I cant help feeling that your personal attacks on Pardew are because you just dont like the Ashley deadlock, and any of his lapdogs(cause thats all they are)....nothing to do with fooball. Can you honestly say this is not so?

He has 52,000 suckers lining his pockets, whoever manages the team or who plays ......... Not to offer too dissenting an opinion - and yes, this may sound like 'everybody gets a trophy' youth sports mentality - but I'm going to say that the supporters win a little bit as well. I'm not happy with the way this season went, the way we consistently underperform in cups, and the fact that we are an absolutely horrible team in the 2nd 45...but somehow, we'll still be watching Premier League football next year, a season after making the quarterfinals of the Europa League...it may be searching for a silver lining, but I know I slept better last night than I had in weeks (not an exaggeration...except for the week I spent getting tipsy on fermented grapes in Napa Valley). This is not intended to be an absolution of the Owner, the 'Board', or the Manager...but, frankly, I don't care much about that right now. The past month or so has been wrought with terrible football, unnecessary nail biting, and a few ass-replacement surgeries...so, in the long run, the Owner will always win...but at least right now, I'm walking around with a big smile on my face, a huge weight off my shoulder, and clean undies...it feels at least a little bit like a win for me, too.

I agree 100% Supermac - let's be thankful for small mercies and accept that as long as we have our present owner we are never going to be top 4 or Real Madrid

Can you honestly say this is not so? Canny I may be alone on here in my views on Pardew regardless that he will not be shifted by Ashley but it will not stop me airing my views on him. If you happen to look at other forums you will find lots of people have the same views as me. Ashley by his stance on this plonker is shafting the supporters wholesale whether they go along with it is down to them. ATB

Good post and reasoning SM......however this can only be your first or second time around with this trauma......wait until you have 50 years in with more than a dozen of these type seasons....just wonder if you will feel the same then.
