At any other time I would have said yesterdays draw at West Ham was a point in the right direction, however with two games to go things are looking even more precarious when it comes to the dreaded drop. Wins for Wigan and Villa have certainly increased the pressure on not just The Toon but Norwich, The Mackems and even Southampton, who I said in another post would probably be safe, dragged back into it. Stoke: Sunderland (A), Spurs (H), Southampton (A). Aston Villa: Chelsea (H), Wigan (A). Southampton: Sunderland (A), Stoke (H). Norwich: West Brom (H), Manchester City (A). Newcastle United: QPR (A), Arsenal (H). Sunderland: Stoke (H), Southampton (H), Spurs (A). Wigan: Swansea (H), Arsenal (A), Villa (H). Some massive games this week for all concerned starting with The Mackems at home to Stoke on Monday night, quickly followed by Wigan against The Swans on Tuesday. A loss for either of the home teams being a blessing even if not taking The Toon completely out of the dog fight. Lights Oot!

No joy on the result front following the Mackems home game against Stoke on Monday although they too are not completely out of the brown stuff quite yet. There are now three teams on 38 points and that could become four should Wigan defeat Swansea tonight. That result could also take The Mags into the bottom three on goal difference. Fulham now also come into the equation...however their goal difference as with The Mackems and Saints is far superior to those below them. Not that it will save them should they lose remaining games and others around them win. Stoke: Spurs (H), Southampton (A). Fulham: Liverpool (H), Swansea (A). Aston Villa: Chelsea (H), Wigan (A). Southampton: Sunderland (A), Stoke (H). Sunderland: Southampton (H), Spurs (A). Norwich: West Brom (H), Manchester City (A). Newcastle United: QPR (A), Arsenal (H). Wigan: Swansea (H), Arsenal (A), Villa (H). LIghts Oot!

Following the home defeat of Wigan to Swansea on Tuesday night, the fate of Newcastle regarding relegation is again back in their own hands. So with two games remaining the gap is three points and identical goal difference with the pie eaters. Stoke: Spurs (H), Southampton (A). Fulham: Liverpool (H), Swansea (A). Aston Villa: Chelsea (H), Wigan (A). Southampton: Sunderland (A), Stoke (H). Sunderland: Southampton (H), Spurs (A). Norwich: West Brom (H), Manchester City (A). Newcastle United: QPR (A), Arsenal (H). Wigan: Swansea (H), Arsenal (A), Villa (H). Sundays game at Loftus Road against QPR is now an absolute must not lose situation for The Mags. It is with a sense of self preservation that I'm grateful not being anywhere near Canny on that day, as he may well implode and smite himself. Lights Oot!

Because I detected a concentrated collective effort to get everybody including the Bedlington Sandbagger on a 100 , while mine slowly deteriorated......such was the unity of the Blue Star Brothers......obviously Eshintun brothers are not in that select group...........I'm calling Magpie!!!!! .....again!!!
