Liverpool 2 - 0 Manure (HT) Very tasty at back end of this half with some horror tackles and nasty stuff going on from both sides. Carragher lucky not to get a straight red for the challenge on Nani which saw him carried off after admitedly some awful antics involving Gerrard. Then a whole host of other madness followed plus further handbags. All leaving this neutral supporter about as bemused as Phil Dowd the Ref, who simply let the players get on with it then dished out the yellow cards accordingly. If the second half ends with 22 players still on the pitch I shall be gobsmacked. CWL

Liverpool 3 - 1 Manure at Full Time. Liverpool well worth the win with Suarez outstanding................ Andy Carroll coming on for the last fifteen minutes to make his debut in front of the Kop. Makes the title race just a tad more interesting and keeps The Gooners in the hunt. CWL

I thought the referee acted as if he was in charge of a ice hockey match. Allowed the players to fight it out amongst themselves before dishing out punishment. It seemed to work because the second half was a bit of a damp squid in comparison. Should have been a couple of red cards tho, not yellow.

He might have complaints about Carragher's tackle.

Not disputing some of the challenges were frightening at times and as I put in one of my earlier posts thought Carragher should have got a red. That aside it didn't happen and I stick by what I said Fergie's side were second best on the day and the result reflected that. CWL

Blackpool 1 - 3 Chelski.................Full Time. Terry with the opener on 20 minutes. Lampard with two in the second half. The first from the penalty spot on 62 minutes following a challenge on Kalou in the area by Evatt. The second four minutes later from a lovely through ball from Kalou and a typical run with easy finish by the midfielder. Blackpools consolation scored in the 86th minute by Puncheon. CWL
