ATB You know Capn.......anybody who didnt know you would think there was a hint of sarcastic bitterness in that remark.............but then again........youre probably right.........lol I think its going under for the third time, with no lifeguards around! The mackem game meet could be a wake....................ah...c'est la vie! |

Complinents of the Mag. I look towards a celebration that happens only twice a year a time to be with the ones you love and sing deep into the night. I give you an example of a personal experience of this wonderful time….. It’s the night before and wor lass wants to go out on a couple’s night out, I tell her I’m a bit tired and fancy an early night. This seems a good enough response as she agrees, so off to bed we go with no funny business – I want to save my energy for the big day and don’t want to waste all that adrenaline in 30 seconds. Soon enough, it’s the middle of the night and my excitement is becoming too much so I grab the laptop and bang on YouTube (other video hosting sites are available) and start reminiscing of times gone by. Nevertheless, I know I need some shut eye so try to get a couple of hours. Next thing it’s morning and my excitement is overwhelming, the man in the black and white suit, or St.Bobby as he’s also known, has been and left me a present. I rip off the paper to reveal the gift I wanted; the Monkees and Daydream Believer. I put it in my laptop and knock the volume up full, next thing I hear this crackling sound and wonderful smell, it’s only wor lass with a bacon sandwich, result! A quick show shave and I’m ready to go, the taxi is here and I grab some cans, we soon pick my mate up and we are off to the big celebration, the driver is in a good mood and suggests we get started on those cans – what a nice bloke. Out the taxi and the first of many venues to celebrate, everyone is decked out in their festive wear and everyone seems to know my version of Happy Days. A few more lagers and we are ready to go to our Cathedral, everyone ascending with a quick pray and we are ready to go, we don’t need to fear though as we have a guy called Shola leading proceedings, he loves this day. It’s only 3 weeks away so I wish everyone all the best and think of those less fortunate than us (mackems), merry derby day! ;D Attachments:
