Not the greatest of games and ended 2 - 0.....

Probably when all is said and done it has no bearing regarding what comes in the next round which is straight knockout.

If anything the only thing to be gained from this fixture is that some younger squad players have had a run out and gained further experience. The rest pretty much confirmed what many suspect that they are nothing special.

Now lets get back to playing for Premier League points without the press excuse of the Europa League to hide behind. As for those players in the squad out injured I guess they will just have to take care of themselves up to January.

Capt. I'm pesonally am not in love with Pardew but I believe that once we should give a manager a fair crack of the whip. He hasn't done too badly, resources considered and we have in times gone by given up on managers all to quickely - no wonder we remain outside the top four.

Fairsy I also think he needs a fair crack of the whip-on his bare bottom of course! ;D
